Hi, my name is Bryce. I grew up designing and building things. I enjoy the challenge of balancing visual appeal and function.
I spent 15 years following my heart performing my original music all over New Zealand and Australia. Being an independent singer/songwriter artist requires grit, solid marketing and communication skills. For many years I worked as a web designer for record labels and festivals in Australia and USA which I enjoyed very much.
I completed my BA/B Tch (double degree) majoring in Visual Arts, Graphic design and Education and within the first year I was teaching classes at Uni and had my own business building custom art canvas frames.
I have always worked in the creative lane. Prior to Uni I was a qualified Boat Builder, which required me to think creatively every day and this has influenced my approach to building websites, helping clients, writing music, producing/editing videos and problem solving in general.
I love teaching my clients how to use their websites to get the maximum return on their investment.
A website that’s not being regularly updated is like having a shop with the lights turned off. By using the powerful blog features for feeding out new information significantly helps your website get seen.
The personal touch
The New Zealand based hosting I use is brilliant and my clients love it. I work closely with Slightly Different Ltd which offer the best tech support, technical advice and smooth hassle-free hosting. We enjoy regular mountain bike adventures. He has become a great friend and mentor to me over the years.
The local N.M.I.T Visual Arts and Digital Media Department invited me to serve on the Curriculum advisory panel, which I enjoy giving back to my local community by helping the tutors deliver industry-relevant course content.
Often they ask me to come in and inspire the students with my story and teach a few classes, or play guitar at student exhibitions.
When I’m not working online I’m out mountain biking in the hills above Nelson. On the weekends, I enjoy hitting the gym and making new music in my recording studio. Why don’t you have a sneaky listen? www.brycewastney.com
